Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel will be getting a second batch of DLC with the release of The Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack: The Holodome Onslaught on December 16th, according to the game’s publisher 2K.
The new add-on pack will feature appearances by Vault hunters Gaige and Axton who join the story after missing out on Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel’s baseline game story. In Holodome Onslaught, these characters have the previous game’s events recounted to them — aka, just the good stuff (the violence).
Throughout, players will fight wave after wave of enemies in a new challenge area. Some of these characters include old Pre-Sequels enemies, as well as new enemies, weapons, class mods and skins. As a bonus, the DLC also includes the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack which raises the level cap to 60 and gives each of your characters 10 new levels and skill points to earn.
The Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack: The Holodome Onslaught is included in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel’s Season Pass. Non Season Pass holders can purchase the pack separately for $9.99.
In addition, those who currently own The Pre-Sequel will receive a free patch next week that will include a third playthrough called Ultimate Vault Hunter mode. This adds higher difficulty and the ability to reset the campaign’s progress at any time. Full patch notes will be available closer to launch. We’ll be covering it here on Paw Print and the brand new GameSentral.
