Star Wars Battlefront update adds new map, mission

Star Wars Battlefront’s February update has begun its rollout on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One.

First off, the Jakku DLC content is being patched into the game, so you’ll no longer have to download it separately. The existing download can also be deleted from your hard drive.

The new Twilight on Hoth map has been added for the Walker Assault, Supremacy Turning Point, Blast, Fighter Squadron, Drop Zone, and Heroes vs. Villains game types.

The new Survival in the Ice Caves mission has been added to Survival Missions, and the Turning Point game mode is now available on Jundland Wastes, Forest of Endor, Outpost Beta, and SoroSuub Centroplex.

Six Million people played The Division beta

According to Ubisoft, over 6.4 million players took part in The Division’s beta, which ended Feb. 22. The company claims that this is the “biggest beta ever for a new game brand on current generation platforms.”

Players sent an average of five hours in the streets of New York City, and two hours in The Dark Zone, the game’s PvP arena. According to Ubisoft, almost 50% of players turned rogue during online play. In the Dark Zone, players extracted over 63.3 million contaminated items.

Pre-ordering Doom on Xbox One gets you Doom, Doom 2 for free

If you pre-order Doom on Xbox One, you’ll get free copies of the original Doom and Doom II.

Both games are available on Xbox One as backwards-compatible titles. Game codes are expected to arrive in the buyer’s Xbox Message Center within 7-10 days, and are redemmable on the Xbox website.

Pre-ordering Doom also gets you the Demon Multiplayer Pack, which a unique Demon-themed armor set with three skin variations, six Hack Modules, six metallic paint colors, and three id patterns for use on weapons and armor.

Fallout 4 Creation Kit planned for PC around April, consoles a month later

Fallout 4’s mod support should arrive sometime this spring, according to director Todd Howard.

According to Howard, Bethesda is aiming to release the Creation Kit for PC between the first two DLC add-ons, which are coming in March and April. The Xbox One will get the Kit a month or so later, while the PlayStation 4 will get it live a month after that.
