According to 343 Industries and Creative Assembly, Halo Wars 2 will have a second beta early next year for both Windows 10 and Xbox One.
The beta will have several changes and improvements, as well as a fix for the first beta’s connectivity issues.
General enhancements like improved stability, pacing, and overall game flow are being worked on, along with enhancements to the controller layout for a more intuitive and faster player experience. Leader Powers are also being tweaked to be easier to understand and utilize.
Bases are getting visual adjustments, as structures within the base are being adjusted to more accurately represent its actual state. In addition, 343 is balancing player resources by changing the costs so they scale while you play. Early on, supplies will be more of a focus, while power will play a bigger role as the game progresses. Lastly, the unit population count seen in the beta is being increased.
Halo Wars 2 is set for a Feb. 21, 2017 launch on Xbox One and Windows 10.
