Vicarious Visions, the Activision-owned studio that’s developed games for a host of the company’s franchises, is now collaborating with Bungie on Destiny.
In a photo published by Vicarious, the studio announced the partnership to “further expand the award-winning Destiny universe.”
Vicarious has developed games for years, including the Game Boy Advance versions of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater and Crash Bandicoot, as well as the DS version of Guitar Hero. The developer also worked on several Spider-Man games, Spongebob Squarepants games, and Disney’s The Lion King 1 ½.
Recently, the studio developed games in the Skylanders series and is currently working on Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, a PS4 remaster.
Most of Bungie is shifting focus to Bungie 2, according to Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg, which is currently on track for a 2017 release.
