Pokemon Go’s initial success was caused by getting people out of the house during the pleasant summer (unless you’re in the humidity trap that is North Georgia). However, as the weather outside turns frightful and the fire is so delightful, Niantic Labs has been faced with creating more enticement to keep us all slinging Pokeballs at Pidgeys. Beginning on Christmas Day, Pokestops will dole out a single-use incubator. Until Jan. 3, you’ll also have a better chance of finding Togepi, Pichu, and other Johto-based eggs.
To further celebrate the season, Santa hat-wearing Pikachu will stick around a little longer. Also, the original starting Pokemon (Bulbasur, Charmander, Squirtle, and their evolutions) will be easier to catch too starting Dec. 30, according to a press release from the company.
To help you out, Lure Modules will double their lifespan – lasting for an hour – through Jan. 8.
